Paul George, Carmelo Anthony, Jimmy Butler, Derrick Rose, and Ricky Rubio, where did they all go? Absolutely nowhere.
Yep, the NBA trade deadline ended today at 2 pm and all the “buzz” and rumors of all the gigantic NBA names “on the move” were completely squashed. But wait!? What about the trades that did happen today? Here are some notables:
- Suns trade forward P.J. Tucker to the Toronto Raptors for Center Jared Sullenger and Toronto’s 2nd rounds picks in 2017 and 2018. (Which helps the Raptors get some more manpower to add to their trade earlier in the week when they acquired Serge Ibaka from the Magic)
- Milwaukee traded Center Roy Hibbert to the Denver Nuggets for a future 2nd round pick (Yeah, that shows how good Roy is nowadays)
- Bulls Traded Taj Gibson, Doug McDermott (“Mcbuckets” as we all know from is glory days at Creighton), and a 2018 2nd round pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder for guard Anthony Morrow, center Joffrey Lauvergne, and guard Cameron Payne (Sorry Westbrook, no more dance partner for you)
- 76ers trade forward Nerlens Noel to the Dallas Mavericks for center Andrew Bogut, forward Justin Anderson, and a Top-18 protected 1st round pick. (Welp Nerlens, I guess “The Process” does not include you bud.)
Well, there you have it, all the juicy trades that occurred today. Of course, these are not all of the trades but these are the ones that I believe were the ones worth talking about. What moves did you want to see? Were you satisfied with DeMarcus “Boogie” Cousins going to New Orleans like fellow Sports Guy Nate? What teams do you think “won” today?
